Denise Lafontaine |
Workshop 3: Improved Literacy
Performance Through Cross-Curriculum Clustering
Rather than trying to teach each subject matter
in isolation, Ms. Lafontaine will demonstrate the effectiveness
with which you can meet Ministry expectations through
clustering of them. This approach to teaching has been
extremely successful within International Baccalaureate
programs, and over the past few years this exciting strategy
has contributed to marked improvement in student performance
in several Ontario schools, while using the four-block
literacy model.

Denise is currently a principal in Fort Hope, Ontario.
Denise’s experience includes teaching in elementary,
secondary, post-secondary and adult education settings.
