Busy? Other Things To Do?
Let Us Handle OnSIS Submission For You!!

OnSIS requirements:
Professional Development Seminars (PDS) has established a new division to assist private schools across Ontario in meeting their OnSIS requirements.

Secondary schools in Ontario are required to submit their reports to OnSIS three times a year: in October, March and June. Elementary schools are required to submit their information once a year, in October. This requirement is mandated and MUST be followed by all private schools without exception. OnSIS may even choose to audit schools to verify that their submissions are correct and have been submitted on time.

For a variety of reasons, many private schools find it difficult to meet the requirements and to submit their reports on time. Some large public and Catholic boards have assigned dedicated personnel to meet OnSIS requirements. Unfortunately, many private schools are left to deal with the issue on their own. This is where PDS can help.

PDS personnel have been trained in the understanding of OnSIS. Starting in October, 2007, private schools in Ontario may choose to have PDS trained personnel do their entire OnSIS submission for them; from beginning to end.

PDS Service:
Upon becoming a PDS client, a PDS team member will arrive at your school, collect the data needed for the particular submission, take this to the PDS main office computers, and complete the entire report for you. Alternatively, you could opt to e-mail relevant data to our PDS office. At completion of the submission, you will receive a CD with all the reports that were submitted for your school. You can concentrate on school needs, while PDS signs-off the session on your behalf and relieves you from the requirements related to OnSIS.

Privacy Act:
Due to strict adherence to the Privacy Act, PDS will not keep any information after a successful submission sign-off. All material collected will be returned to you immediately after signing off, together with the CD (which includes all your OnSIS reports). In addition, for the purposes of the OnSIS submission, the school will undertake to employ the PDS team member completing the OnSIS submission for your school. Of course you will have no salary, liability or benefit responsibilities for this employee. All such responsibilities are assumed by PDS. This step is required to comply with the Privacy Act requirements. By signing Form F2 (attached), as required by OnSIS, you give permission to this employee (PDS team member) to legally access your student information. Upon signing off your school submission, this employee should be taken of your staff list.

Please note: you may terminate this employee's (PDS team member) access to your school data at any time by calling the OnSIS office directly.

Fees:
The fees for this service vary, and will depend on the size of your school (number of students) and its location (as PDS personnel might have to make a one day visit to your school).

Basic submission fee is $17.50 per high school student (up to 3 submissions per academic school year). There is a minimum fee of $500.00.

Services beyond the basic submission fee are based on an hourly rate of $75.00 per hour (travel expenses are extra).

All fees are subject to 5% GST.

Schools that are interested in obtaining PDS services should call (905) 333-5444 for more information and /or to arrange for a PDS member to visit to their school.
