Assistive Technology for Special Need Students
PDS, together with J. Fisher & Associates, is pleased
to invite you to attend an exciting seminar with Dr. Pam Struiksma,
who will discuss and demonstrate the use of adaptive computer
software programs designed to assist students with learning
challenges. This seminar will be of special interest to Occupational
Therapists, Speech Language Pathologists and teachers
with clients/students who have learning challenges.
Dr. Struiksma is a Clinical and School Psychologist.
She works for a Public Board of Education, operates a private
clinic, and is a consultant to PDS. Her areas of clinical
interest include: School Based Difficulties, Anxiety, Non-Verbal
Learning Disabilities, Language Based Learning Disabilities,
Depression, ADHD, and Autism Spectrum Disorder.
Dr. Struiksma is able to provide a wealth of information
and ideas for supporting students with learning challenges
in coherent, simple language, which allows for quick implementation
into your clinic, rehabilitation process or school setting.
