International Division

The International Division of Professional Development Seminars (PDS) is currently preparing a two-day conference for teachers, principals, administrators, owners and board members of International Schools, to be held in October, 2010, in Vancouver, British Columbia.

The theme for the conference is: Developing a Comprehensive School Improvement Plan.

The workshops will focus on various aspects of the school improvement program, and will encompass both academic and administrative issues. The target audience includes teachers, principals, administrators, board members and school owners. The format will be 4 workshops offered per day over 2 days, with participants choosing 2 workshops per day.

Professional Development Seminars (PDS) is a Canadian company which provides Professional Development opportunities for educators and administrators of private schools. The International Division of PDS is headed by Mr. Jim Sebastian, previously Coordinator of Private Schools for the Ontario Ministry of Education, and Dr. Ronnie Miller, previously a university professor, a published author, and currently the owner/director of a private school in Ontario. The PDS team also includes specialists from various academic fields with substantial experience in the many facets of education. Amongst them, professionals with substantial managerial work experience in the Ontario Ministry of Education, university instructors, administrators from the Ontario public education system, and educational psychologists.
