First Nation Schools Division

The First Nation Schools Division of PDS has been established to provide educational services to native schools in remote communities, on reserves, as well as to schools in other areas that serve a high population of native students.

At the present time the First Nation Schools Division of PDS provides the following services:

1. a complete, ready-to-use resource package ; including course outline, unit plans, lesson plans, assessment & evaluation plan, and assessment tools to support English courses (ENG1P & ENG2P), based on topic and textual material relevant to native students
   
2. in-services for teachers, at the home-school, on a variety of topics
   
3. psycho-educational assessments for students (pursued by a registered psychologist)
   
4. cognitive and academic school screening to improve program design and student achievement
